I absolutely love this spot. I can't say that I've tried anything outside of their kimbap yet, but it's what keeps me coming back for more. Both the spicy tuna and beef kimbap are my favorites at the moment, but that could possibly change as I make my way down the menu. If you're craving Korean but want something quick, check this place out.
kimbaps are delicious! they have a great variety (maybe 12-14) of kimbap as well as other korean street foods. good amount of food for the price, def enough to split or munch on over the course of the day (that's what i do) parking is pretty easy but there's a surprising dip in the lot that you might bottom out on, so watch out food comes out fresh, took maybe 10-15 min there is space to sit and eat inside as well
Note: The storefront says "KBOP TOP 10" instead of Kimbap Paradise So far so good. I wanted some kimbap and found this store. They seem to have regular customers and people ordering for pickup. You can even order a big tray of assorted kimbap. I originally wanted to get the beef kimbap or the tuna kimbap but 1) usually for beef kimbap I find it on the drier side and would want to dip it in some tteokbokki sauce and 2) I can't mayo which the tuna kimbap has. So I opted for the shrimp tempura kimbap based on reviews. I ordered one roll of it for about $8. The shrimp tempura kimbap was pretty good, and not sure if other places also serve it with a sauce since it was my first time having shrimp tempura in kimbap, but the sauce (a wasabi and lightly zesty sauce) paired very well with the kimbap. I ended up dipping each piece because I thought it tasted better with the sauce. Would definitely come back to give some other items a try. I'm used to the kimbaps in Koreatown which are a little cheaper but not many options around this area.
It's about time I write this review! I seriously will be eating this atleast once a week. I'm plain so I love my spam kimbap, but you gotta grab their ramen with it. Hands down the best kimbap in the area! Such a great quick snack, sometimes even a whole meal. They're always busy somehow with to go orders or some customers in the store, so that's how you know it's a hit. The restaurant is tiny but comfortable, to eat myself or with friends. We dine in and take out, the food comes out exactly the same and presentable.
Very fresh Kimbap, I am not going anywhere else! The black bean sauce noodles was also fresh and warmly served. I like that they took the time to carefully pack togo orders, especially keeping the sauce separate from the noodles until ready to eat. Shop is small, but there are a few table and chairs for leisurely dining in.
This place is the best. Their kimbap tastes so fresh, they never skimp out on the filling, and it's affordable. Their standard order comes with 2 rolls of kimbap but you can also ask for just 1 roll. My go-tos are fishcake or tuna. I've also tried their black bean noodles (jjajangmyun) and spicy rice cake (tteokbokki), which are also really good. They have some seats inside if you choose to dine in, but I feel like the vibe is mainly for a quick stop. 10/10 spot though. Forever stopping by to pick up a meal.
**October 2024: Saturday Afternoon** I've actually been here at least twice as it's a fast and reliable healthy option when I attend events. I enjoy the flavor more so than the Korean grocery store and they have convenient hours. I usually place a phone order in advance and pickup. They also accept credit card and have ample parking. The Shrimp Tempura Kimbap ($13.95) is my go-to and honestly ordering just one is usually sufficient for my appetite, though most of the time I'm greedy and order this and another one. I've tried the beef kimbap and Fishcake, but the Shrimp Tempura is definitely my fav. I generally just pickup and get my food to-go, but they have 2 tables if you want to eat there. Enjoy!
Needs improvements here and there, but, overall, a worthy place for your money. I like my gimbap (Korean rice-seaweed rolls). I make it frequently at home and buy them at markets or restaurants. This place gets 4 stars due to the following factors: --Good flavor for the Beef gimbap and Shrimp Tempura gimbap. I liked that the Beef bulgogi filling didn't have the tendons or chewy fat parts. The Tuna gimbap, however, needs a major improvement in flavor and texture. --Price and Portion: Reasonably priced, and you get 2 full rolls (see the picture). I recommend that you cook 1 Korean instant ramen, split in half with your friend/partner, and eat with 1 or 2 orders of the gimbap. They will fill you up. --Location: It is located in a large open plaza, with plenty of open parking. It is only 2 doors down from a local bank where they have a security guard outside on standby. Nice to have a looking eye near the restaurant. And because this plaza is so large, you're going to make this more than just a single stop at the restaurant. The plaza has an Asian market, a pharmacy, an acupuncturist, and more. I only tried their gimbaps, so will be back to try other dishes.
They do not have a restroom. You have to walk to a market that's next door. This is more of a to go spot then a sit down place. Even though they did have small sitting inside. I've tried their combo, spicy tuna kimbap and rice cake. Their spicy tuna was REAL spicy. Like way too hot to enjoy the kimbap itself. Their rice cake was really good but wish the portion was bigger. The spicy level was on point with this one. The lady was kind enough to explain the menu for me. They also sell Korean soft drinks too. Overall, I was satisfied with the food and will come back to try more.
One of my favorite hole in the wall restaurant! Highly highly recommend! Kimbap Paradise is franchised in Korea but finally came to the states and I am so thrilled they did because everything is delicious. My favorite go to Kimbap is the Fried Shrimp tempura because it comes with this kind of spicy-vinegar sauce, it is literally an amazing combo. I've tried their beef kimbap and tonkatsu kimbap but nothing compares to this roll! The staff there are super nice, and location has tons of parking since it's in a plaza. I usually order takeout but there a few seats inside to eat indoors.
